Guides for deliberate habit practice

Reference materials accompanying our programmes. Each guide covers one practical skill you can apply independently.

01

Designing a single anchor habit

Choose one behaviour that follows an existing daily cue. Covers environment mapping and friction reduction without added complexity.

02

Weekly planning for remote programmes

Block time around challenge tasks when your diary is already full. Includes buffer periods and realistic daily limits.

03

Reflection without self-criticism

Journal prompts emphasising observation over judgement. Useful during and after any cohort participation.

04

Building a supportive home environment

Practical adjustments making desired behaviours easier to start. No equipment purchases required.

05

Navigating quieter weeks

What to do when motivation dips mid-programme. Strategies for adjusting scope whilst maintaining continuity.

06

After the programme ends

Carry forward one or two practices without attempting to maintain every task simultaneously.

An anchor habit attaches a new behaviour to something you already do — such as drinking water immediately after switching on the kettle. The guide walks you through identifying existing cues in a typical British working day.

Rather than blocking large chunks of time, this guide recommends 10-minute windows before or after existing commitments. Particularly useful for hybrid workers balancing office and home days.

Each prompt begins with "I noticed…" rather than "I failed to…". The aim is honest observation that supports adjustment without unhelpful self-judgement.
